Know Before you Apply:

  • IMPORTANT: You should only apply to the First Year Abroad (FYA) or First Semester Abroad (FSA) program if you are a First Time in College Student who has been offered admission to FSU for the Summer or Fall semesters or through the Seminole Pathways program. A $100 non-refundable application fee is required to complete the application. Contact IP-FirstYear@fsu.edu with any questions.
  • The application takes approximately 10 minutes. For most programs, a non-refundable application fee must be paid to submit the application. Paying the application fee does not guarantee acceptance to the program.
  • Immigration
    • Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for researching, applying for, and paying for all applicable immigration requirements and must have their current citizenship & U.S. residency details available when applying. Contact IP-Visas@fsu.edu with questions before applying.
    • U.S. citizens may be required to apply for a visa depending on program length or location. Consult your program page for more information about possible requirements & costs before applying.

How to Apply:

Current FSU Students or those with an FSUID: must apply using their FSUID & password. If you cannot remember your FSUID, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk at it-help@fsu.edu or 850.644.4357.

Non-FSU students or incoming first-year students accepted to FSU via the Seminole Pathways program: must use the FSUID registration page to create an FSUID before applying to study abroad.

Applicants not currently attending FSU will also be required to send an official transcript from their current college or university to IP-Admissions@fsu.edu (this does not apply to First Year or First Semester Abroad applicants who have not yet graduated high school).
