Living in London

The FSU Study Centre has a fantastic location in Bloomsbury in central London. The area is also home to the British Museum and University College London. It is a short walk to the West End theatre district, Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and many more attractions. Bloomsbury is a safe and highly desirable neighbourhood to live in. London is literally on your doorstep!

London itself is a large city of approximately eight million people. It is extremely cosmopolitan, attracting visitors and immigrants from all over the world. London's many districts were once distinct towns and villages, creating a city of diverse neighbourhoods and endless different and exciting places for you to explore.

Student Practical Tips

Need to know where to get groceries? Buy a phonecard? Go to the gym? Come to the admin office and/or find a GC! At the start of the semester we will schedule a Practical Walking Tour of the area – don't miss it!

Also, we know that most students in London are on a budget. London can be expensive, but the locals know where to get the best deals and the staff can share their tips for saving money. Many attractions offer cheap entrances on certain days or at certain times. Several museums and galleries have FREE admission.
