Graduate Theatre (Asolo)

Open to students of the School of Theatre’s graduate Florida State/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training, this program allows you to explore London’s exemplary theater district. Learn current trends in performance, production, and dramaturgy on the British stage. Attend plays at leading theaters in the city, take backstage tours, and meet with performers and creative teams. Learn from prominent theatre artists through guest lectures and master classes.
Eligibility
The program is open only to FSU/Asolo Conservatory graduate students.
Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal.

FSU London Study Center
Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.
Housing
Housing is flat (or apartment) style and is located either in the study center or in comparable accommodations in central London. Each flat includes a fully-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and a furnished living area. Wi-Fi and a regular cleaning service with a change of bed linens and towels is included. You'll also have access to laundry facilities.
Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics
On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with London-based FSU faculty members. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.
Excursions & Activities
You'll receive a program calendar before you leave; here are some examples taken from past programs of potential excursions & activities you may do:
Day trips: Hampton Court Palace, Cambridge, Oxford, Brighton, Blenheim Palace, and/or Windsor Castle
Academic & other local experiences: Back-stage Tour of theaters such as the National Theatre, panoramic coach tour of London, Tower of London, and/or Kew Gardens
Class visits: Theater events and performances, masterclasses and lectures by prominent London performers and theater professionals
