Biology
London, England | Summer
Explore London's museums and historic sites to learn about some of biology's most important discoveries which happened right in the city. Gain experiential knowledge of what it was like to conduct biological research when these discoveries were made through explorations of the city. Immersive learning through guest lectures from professionals in the field and museum visits allow you to gain a deeper understanding and heightened enthusiasm for the science. Connect with various interests as you explore a wide range of topics through visits to museums and historical sites.
Eligibility
This program is open to all interested undergraduate students who have completed or are currently enrolled in BSC 2011 Biological Science II with a “C-“ or better by the time of application.
Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal.

FSU London Study Center
Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.
Housing
Housing is flat (or apartment) style and is located either in the study center or in comparable accommodations in central London. Each flat includes a fully-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and a furnished living area. Wi-Fi and a regular cleaning service with a change of bed linens and towels is included. You'll also have access to laundry facilities.
Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics
On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with an FSU faculty member. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.
Excursions & Activities
You'll receive a program calendar before you leave; here are some examples taken from past programs of potential excursions & activities you may do:
Overnight trip (one trip): Bath & Stonehenge, the Lake District, Yorkshire, or Cornwall
Day trips: Down House, Cambridge (including Museum of Zoology), Hampton Court Palace, Oxford, Brighton, Blenheim Palace, and/or Windsor Castle
Academic & other local experiences: Guest speakers and lab visit, Billingsgate Market, Natural History Museum, Linnean Society of London, Grant Museum of Zoology, Sea Life London Aquarium, Kew Palace & Gardens, and/or other historic sites
Extracurricular activities: Walking tours, movie nights, sports watch parties, and/or afternoon tea
