Spanish Culture with CEA CAPA
Seville, Spain | Summer

Explore Spain's rich culture while living in Seville, the capital of Spain's Andalusia region. Experience local sites and traditions through the lens of Hispanic history, culture, exploring the food & gastronomy of Seville. Expand your Spanish language skills through optional language workshops and spend time exploring the city’s famous plazas, narrow streets, and beautifully landscaped parks. This program allows you to take an FSU course through the approved partner, CEA CAPA.

Application

Eligibility
This program is open to all interested undergraduate students who will be 18 or older on the program start date. All participants are required to have a working cell phone with cellular service & data during program dates.

Other Considerations & Requirements
Space permitting, you may be approved to take additional credits beyond the 3 included in the program fee. These additional credits will require you to pay an additional fee ($250 per undergraduate credit hour).

Note: Do not purchase airline tickets until advised to do so in the IP portal.

Housing

You'll stay in double occupancy dorm style housing in the historic city center. Amenities include access to fully equipped kitchens, shared lounge space & pool, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities.

Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics

On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with Seville-based faculty. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.

Excursions & Activities

You'll receive a program calendar before you leave; here are some examples taken from past programs of potential excursions & activities you may do:

Overnight trip: Granada and the Alhambra

Day trips: Nearby city such as Córdoba or Cádiz

Academic & other local experiences: City tour, visit to the Royal Alcázar of Seville, guided tour of Seville Cathedral

Extracurricular activities: Cooking & flamenco workshops, optional workshops for practical Spanish language skills (not for credit)

Finances

Study abroad is an investment in your future, but we believe the world is within your reach. When you study abroad with FSU, you pay an application fee and a program fee. The program fee is split into multiple payments. Most financial aid options can apply towards your program fee and payment deferment options are available.
