International Affairs
London, England | Spring Break

Enhance your awareness of British culture, better understand the UK's history, and gain insight into the country's political system and international organizations through this spring break trip to London. Explore London's role as a major player in international politics and finance through visits to key sites around the city. London lends itself to studying international affairs as it remains a strong leader in today's increasingly globalized world and has played a crucial role in the creation of the modern globalized economy. Delve into British culture and history as you travel to London over spring break as part of a spring semester course in Tallahassee.

Application

Eligibility
This program is open to undergraduate students majoring or minoring in International Affairs or Political Science. Other students must contact Dr. Whitney Bendeck at wbendeck@fsu.edu before applying.

Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal. You must enroll in the spring semester IP section of INS 3003 Introduction to International Affairs on the Tallahassee campus. You will attend classes on the Tallahassee campus during the spring semester and will go abroad as a component of the course during the specified dates.

Note: Do not purchase airline tickets until advised to do so in the IP portal.

FSU London Study Center

Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.

Housing

You'll stay in shared hotel accommodations in central London. Wi-Fi and breakfast are included. You'll also have secure access to the FSU London study center building.

Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics

On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with an FSU faculty member. Take a course during the spring semester and go abroad during spring break as part of the class. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.

Local experiences: Museum visits (including the British Museum, Tower of London, and/or Imperial War Museum), central London walking tours, a West End theater performance
