What to Know Before You Apply to First Year Abroad or First Semester Abroad:
FSU Admission Status & Application Fee
You should only apply to the First Year Abroad (FYA) or First Semester Abroad (FSA) program if you are a first-time-in-college student who has already been offered admission to FSU for the summer or fall semesters or through the Seminole Pathways program.
The application takes approximately 10 minutes.
A $100 non-refundable application fee is required to complete the application; ; paying the application fee does not guarantee acceptance to a specific program or location.
Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for researching, applying for, and paying for all applicable immigration requirements and must have their current citizenship & U.S. residency details available when applying. Contact IP-Visas@fsu.edu with questions before applying.
U.S. citizens may be required to apply for a visa depending on program length or location. Consult your program page for more information about possible requirements & costs before applying.
Apply with FSUID
All applicants must apply using an FSUID & password. If you cannot remember your FSUID, please contact the FSU IT Help Desk at IT-Help@fsu.edu or 850.644.4357.
Students offered FSU admission via Seminole Pathways must use the FSUID registration page to create a guest FSUID before applying to FYA/FSA. A permanent FSUID will be issued after acceptance to the FYA or FSA program.
