International Perspectives in Education
London, England | Summer
With a broad education system spanning primary, secondary, and higher education, London offers a rich setting to explore education in all its forms. Engage in seminar-style discussions on current issues across the education sector in the UK, from early years and school systems through universities and post-secondary institutions. Connect British educational traditions with US models as you visit schools, universities, and key educational sites in London and Oxford. Examine education from an international perspective — exploring system structure, student support, leadership approaches, learner experiences, and policy differences across primary, secondary, and higher education contexts.
Eligibility
This program is open to graduate students in the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Applicants from outside the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies department are encouraged to discuss their participation with their advisor.
Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal. Students will be required to complete online coursework before and after the program.

FSU London Study Center
Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.
Housing
Housing is flat (or apartment) style and is located either in the study center or in comparable accommodations in central London. Each flat includes a fully-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and a furnished living area. Wi-Fi and a regular cleaning service with a change of bed linens and towels is included. You'll also have access to laundry facilities.
Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics
On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with an FSU faculty member. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.
Excursions & Activities
You'll receive a program calendar before you leave; here are some examples taken from past programs of potential excursions & activities you may do:
Day trips: Oxford and Cambridge
Academic & other local experiences: Theater performance, guided walking tour of London, tour of the Houses of Parliament and observation of an Education Select Committee session (if available)
Class visits: Meet with education professionals, such as representatives from Teach First and Schools Week and visit universities, primary/secondary schools, and education organizations throughout London
