Global Sport Management

Immerse yourself in British sport by learning about the 15+ professional teams based in London. One of the only cities in the world to host the Olympics three times, London is the perfect setting to study sports culture firsthand. Tour world-class sports venues, including the storied Wimbledon grounds, as well as football, rugby, and cricket stadiums. Examine the relationship between local sport cultures and the globalizing forces that shape the contemporary sporting scene as you visit various stadiums and sites.
Eligibility
This program is open to all interested undergraduate and graduate students.
Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal.

FSU London Study Center
Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.
Housing
Housing is flat (or apartment) style and is located either in the study center or in comparable accommodations in central London. Each flat includes a fully-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and a furnished living area. Wi-Fi and a regular cleaning service with a change of bed linens and towels is included. You'll also have access to laundry facilities.
Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics
On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with an FSU faculty member. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.
Excursions & Activities
You'll receive a program calendar before you leave; here are some examples taken from past programs of potential excursions & activities you may do:
Overnight trip: St Andrews, Scotland for the British Open (dependent on timing/availability)
Day trips: Sporting events including: Wimbledon (dependent on timing/availability), King George Friday Raceday at Ascot, and a stage of the Tour de France (Cardiff, Wales)
Academic & other local experiences: Sports facilities tours including: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Lord’s Cricket Ground, and the 2012 Olympic facilities, as well as theater performances, and panoramic coach city tour
Class visits: Meet with executives from sports organizations
