Choral & Instrumental Education

London brings choral and instrumental music and conducting to life through its rich musical tradition. Explore British culture through music as you visit some of London's vibrant musical experiences like West End theater performances and the BBC Proms festival. Learn through visits to historic musical sites from the Handel Hendrix House to Royal Albert Hall. Take this opportunity to complete your Master of Music Education degree. Or, if you are a teacher of music and space allows, you can apply to the program to renew your certification.
Eligibility
Students must be in the third year of the Master of Music Education Program at FSU. Non-degree seeking participants must hold a valid teaching certificate. Students registered in the summer master’s program must enroll in 12 credit hours of study plus a zero-credit comprehensive exam. Details are provided during registration.
Other Considerations & Requirements
Priority is given to students in good conduct standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher; exceptions may be granted upon appeal.

FSU London Study Center
Housed in a historic 17th century row of townhouses, the FSU London study center is located in the heart of central London's Bloomsbury district. The FSU London study center has a computer lab, library, admin offices, a student lounge, and more. Centrally located, the study center is the perfect hub for exploring all London has to offer.
Housing
Housing is flat (or apartment) style and is located either in the study center or in comparable accommodations in central London. Each flat includes a fully-equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and a furnished living area. Wi-Fi and a regular cleaning service with a change of bed linens and towels is included. You'll also have access to laundry facilities.
Note: Overnight guests are not allowed in program housing.

Academics
On this program, you'll study a focused curriculum with an FSU faculty member. You’ll have the opportunity to use the city as your classroom through immersive academic experiences.
