Course Description
This study-abroad course explores the ethics of war and peace in British history and culture. In examining the just war tradition and rival approaches, students learn how to think carefully about moral justifications and constraints on war. The concerns of ethical theory are made concrete by considering specific case studies in British history in combination with experiential learning outings to sites around London and elsewhere in Britain.
