This survey course introduces students to the fundamental structure and function of the nervous system, neural mechanisms that underlie physiological phenomena, and the effect of experiences on neural function. Emphasis is placed on how the scientific method is employed across the many disciplines within neuroscience. This introductory course is appropriate for students from all majors.
