Course Description

This course is an undergraduate, upper-level lecture course in art history with changing topics. The course investigates the art of specific time periods and/or geographic regions, considering creators, audiences, techniques, technologies, historical and cultural contexts, and forms of expression. Students develop skills in careful looking, critical reading, and persuasive writing. May be repeated to a maximum of twelve hours.
