Fall - Performance Studies Semester

Introduction to London Theatre THE 3061 (mandatory)
A theatre-going course introducing students to current dramaturgy and stagecraft in London and including guest lectures and masterclasses given by actors, writers and directors working in London.

3 or 4 courses from:
Shakespeare (Advanced Acting) THE 3931
An advanced level course in performing Shakespeare.
Voice and Movement (Theatre Tutorial) THE 4913
Vocal technique, combined with LeCoq-based movement work.
Scene Study THE 4935
A theatre-making course in which students work in groups to create their own short theatre pieces.
Fundamentals of Playwriting THE 4600
A craft-based, practical exploration of the art of playwriting with particular focus on the mechanics of structure and form.
Directing 2 TPP 4311
Advanced directing with emphasis on practical scene work.
Acting for the Camera
Fundamental acting techniques for work in television, film and video media.
Dialects for Stage TPP 4730r
The techniques of acquiring a dialect for stage performance. Scene study and monologues performed in dialect.
