Mark Wheatley
A writer for both theatre and television. Most recently he has written a single drama for BBC Films (The Escapist) and is under commission for a new play to be produced later in the year. His adaptation for Complicite, The Street of Crocodiles, was nominated for an Olivier award. He teaches theatre and playwriting courses for both undergraduates and graduates at the FSU London Study Centre.
Dr. Eugene Crook
Dr. Crook gained his PhD at the University of Illinois in 1970, and has been working for Florida State University International Programs for 33 years. He specializes in medieval literature and film and has published a number of books and anthologies on these subjects. He won an Amoco Award for excellence in teaching in 1976, a President's Teaching Award in 1987, and a University Teaching Incentive Award in 1994. He was the one who picked out the location for the present FSU London center in 1992. He resides in Austin when not teaching in London.
Prof. Sarah Finch
Sarah is a founder member of The Lions part, with whom she devised and toured ‘Lilies on the Land’, based on the experiences of Land Girls in WWII. Other theatre includes a year with The Royal Shakespeare Company in ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘Winters Tale’, ‘Alls Well that Ends Well’, ‘Peter Pan’ and 'Poppy'. Also Juliet in ’Romeo and Juliet’ (Oxford), the Little Prince in Exuperey’s ‘Little Prince’ (London). Isabelle in ‘Ring Round the Moon’ and Olivia in ‘Twelfth Night’ ( Regents Park) Compass Theatre Company touring as Miss Julie in ‘Miss Julie’ and ‘The Merchant of Venice’ (Portia). Other Shakespearean roles include Titania in 'Midsummer Night's Dream', Hermione in 'The Winters Tale', Viola in 'Twelfth Night' and Isabella in 'Measure for Measure'. Also Alan Aykbourn’s ‘Bedroom Farce’, Bella Manningham , ‘Gaslight’. Eliante ‘The Misanthrope’. West End in Pirandello’s ‘Henry 1V’ with Richard Harris. Television includes: BBC ‘Campion’; ‘The Pickwick Papers’ ‘Scandalous Women ITV, Catherine Cooksons ‘The Gambling Man’, ‘Lyttons Diary’, ‘Second Sight’ Channel :4 ‘Play in a Week’ Clara Petacci(Mussolini’s mistress) in ’10 Days to Victory’, Mrs. Carbone in ‘Hollyoaks’ Radio includes ‘Faust', and ’The King Must Die’ Film includes ‘Disgraceful Conduct’, ‘Guby Gubit’ and ‘Uncage the Lion’, ‘Imbroglio’, and Feature Film ‘Man Dancin’, and C.S, Lewis: Drearmer of Narnia for Walt Disney Pictures for who she Aslo recorded the Bonus Features for the Narnia Movie DVD.
