Schedule
You will be supplied with a schedule of classes. In Fall and Spring, most classes meet either on Mondays, or on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wednesday is an academic day set aside for field trips with your classes. Friday is a free day (with some exceptions). In the summer, your classes will meet Monday through Thursday and field trips will take place both in class and outside of class. You should note that all year round some classes will require attendance at events scheduled in the evenings or on weekends. Your instructor will give you advance notice of these dates.

Attendance
It is the policy of Florida State University that students are expected to attend all classes. Your instructors will have high expectations of class participation and strict class attendance policies.

Promptness
It is the policy at the London Study Centre that students arrive to class promptly. This expectation reflects FSU's desire to set the proper academic standards in our courses. While there may be occasional mitigating circumstances, instructors expect that students should be prepared to begin class at the scheduled time. It is within the instructor's prerogative to count tardiness as an absence.

Drop/Add
This will take place during the first week of classes. After the drop/add period, courses may be dropped only with permission of the Administrative Director and only in exceptional circumstances.

**Drop/add will take place in the FSU administration office – NOT ONLINE**

Honors Augmented Courses
FSU honor students enrolled in liberal studies courses can request augmented credit at the London Study Centre. To earn honors augmented credit, the FSU honor student must complete the regular liberal studies course assignments plus either an extra project, an extra paper, additional readings or any other reasonable assignment the professor and student agree upon. To receive the honors augmented credit, the student must receive a B- or better for the overall course grade including the extra project. FSU honor students wishing to participate in this scheme should meet with their professor early on in the term to determine the extra project and fill out the appropriate paperwork. The form for Honors Augmented classes is available in the administration office.

Academic Honor Code
You should also be familiar with the normal university policies on academic honesty and integrity. The university's academic Honor Code provides specific details regarding plagiarism and academic dishonesty in the classroom and how such acts will be dealt with.

A copy of the Honor Code is found at pp 65-66 of the General Bulletin , a copy of which is located in the administration office.

Provisions relating to academic integrity are also found in the Florida State University Student Handbook. All these provisions are enforced here at the London Study Centre and you should be familiar with them.

Textbooks
For many of your classes, you should bring the books you need before you arrive. If your professor is using books that can be obtained in this country, you can purchase these books at Waterstone's Bookstore at 82 Gower Street (020 7636 1577), or Blackwells on Charing Cross Road
