Florida State University Theatre Academy in London (TAL) is a unique theatre training program in the heart of one of the world's greatest theatre cities. Based at the FSU London Centre in Bloomsbury, the Academy extends the exemplary traditions of the FSU theatre program to a global community.

Our goal is to enable students to study with London's leading theatre artists in order to equip them for work in the theatres of the future.

A special feature of the academy is that, alone among study abroad programs, it offers a wide range of courses encompassing all the prinicipal theatre arts, from Acting and Writing to Make Up and Theatre Management.

Attending one or more of the Academy's three semesters, students can earn up to 16 credit hours. Students may select courses either according to the Academy's suggested thematic focus, or according to individual preference.

The semesters by sepecial focus are:

• Spring:         Dramatic Writing
• Summer:      Design and Management
• Fall:              Performance Studies

The Academy is open to all students pursuing degree programs in Theatre, Music Theatre, Film, English, Communication and Humanities, and in exceptional circumstances to others who may register as special students.

Theatre Academy Faculty

The FSU Theatre Academy in London provides an unrivalled opportunity for young theatre artists to learn from acclaimed theatre practioners across a wide range of theatre arts.

Our acting, writing, directing, costume, design, and management classes are taught by leading London theatre professionals along with FSU resident faculty, each with a passionate commitment to pass on their skills to the next generation. We believe that students learn best from those who have successfully pursued the art they are studying.

In addition we offer Voice and Movement classes with faculty drawn from London's top drama schools and professional companies.
